1:30 pm - 2:30 pmDME Hot Topics!
Presented by Andrea Stark, MiraVista
Tackle DME Hot Topics from the Driver’s Seat – Instructions and Rules are changing all the time.  You may be getting the list serves, but they don’t always make sense.  Andrea is here to make sure the most recent updates are on your radar, and don’t derail your route.  Most importantly, she will answer your questions to reduce and eliminate confusion.

Topics are evolving but will include at a minimum:
  • TPE Audits are here to stay – Find out how your peers are responding and what should you expect.
  • Every Medicare ID in your system is changing– Learn how and when you’ll get the new numbers.
  • High liter flow O2 billing has been upended – Make sure your documentation is compliant.
  • Medicare crossovers didn’t work for two months – Determine what it takes to get paid
2:30 pm - 3:30 pmDenial Basics: Developing effective resolutions with your back-office!
Presented by Andrea Stark, MiraVista

Weight distribution is a concept we all understand. If we lean too far back in our office chairs, we topple over. It may not be obvious, however, that uneven work distribution upends your most capable AR staff.

Without a consistent process for working denials, new hires remain unnecessarily dependent on senior AR staff.  This dependency decreases growth opportunities for associates and burns out seniors and managers. Resolving routine denials cannot be the primary burden of our most experienced and capable talent.  Luckily, many denials are high volume but not highly complicated.

Create a culture of capable independence and pull your senior AR staff out of the weeds of denial management so they can do what they do best…solve problems.
