Stander issues with GA Medicaid
I have a stander that I billed with prior approved modifications. E0637NU (1 unit), E0637UC (1unit), E0637U5 (2 units), E0637UD (2 units). Lines 1 and 2 were paid correctly. Lines 3 and 4 denied for the reason “payment denied for units of service exceeding NCCI medically unlikely edit”.  I have called Medicaid claims service, they told me to look at the banner message 12/18/12 and 2/28 and follow the link. I have done that but can’t make heads or tales as to what they want the format of the billing to be.  It seems that it’s something to do with the units but I’m not sure. Can you help me with this?

Check with Courtney Haynes at chaynes@dch.ga.gov. She handles fixing these computer errors. Should not be denying for units medically unlikely. Rod Colver
