GAMES Political Consultant, Chandler Haydon

Chandler Carter Haydon brings over 17 years experience in Georgia state government, politics and media relations to every client served by Haydon Consulting. Prior to starting her own firm, Chandler was an associate with the lobbying firm Joe Sports and Associates. She assisted veteran political consultant Joe Sports with lobbying efforts on behalf of clients including the University of Phoenix , Monsanto, Enterprise Rent A Car, and the Distilled Spirits Council. Chandler 's media relations experience includes time served as the Manager of Media and Public Relations and Legislative Liaison for the Georgia Department of Industry, Trade & Tourism. In this role, she promoted Georgia tourism in the national and regional media arena, organized and led press tours, served as a liaison between the Department and the Georgia General Assembly, managed crisis communications, and represented the GDITT at GEMA meetings. During the 1996 Centennial Olympic Games in Atlanta , Chandler worked with the international media community to promote Atlanta and the state of Georgia . She organized interviews with leading political figures and community leaders and organized press tours for the USIA Foreign Press Centers. Her career in government and politics began in the Georgia General Assembly as a participant in the Governor's Intern Program. She has served as an aide to former Representative Hanson Carter, worked in the Office of the Clerk of the Georgia House of Representatives, and worked as an organizer for the Governor's Conference on Juvenile Justice on behalf of the Georgia Department of Community Affairs. Chandler lives in Atlanta , Georgia with her husband and their two children.
